Meet the three lost dogs

Friday –
The old lady of the pack, Friday is an eight year old German Shepherd/Akita mix. I adopted Friday when she was a puppy and I was a puppy to the world of dog training. Since Friday started this whole journey with me she has seen every dog training, care and feeding technique I’ve experimented with. As a result, I think she’s a bit jaded. Your patience has meant a lot to me, Friday. Thank you.

Unlike her “brothers,” Friday has no interest in organized sports like agility. She thinks they’re beneath her. Instead, she’s something of a nature freak, preferring to spend her play time swimming and hiking.

jonasjumptakeoffsmall Jonas, Novice Versatility, O-NCC, O-NAC, O-TG-N, O-TN-N, O-WV-N, HP-N, S-NJC - Jonas is the titled member of the family. We try not to let it go to his head. Jonas currently competes at the Open level in NADAC agility, and he also likes to train in disc dog, though not for competition.

Jonas was my foster failure. I met him at “my” shelter when he was five months old and afraid of strangers. I took him home to foster him, and, well, never took him back. It took a while, but he is now over his fears and actually likes meeting new people.

Jonesy is a five year old mutt. He probably has some Australian Shepherd and Siberian Husky in the mix, but who really knows.

merlinpinkfrisbeeMerlin – Merlin is an 18 month old ball of Border Collie/Aussie energy who, true to his breeds, drives his packmates insane with his incessant need to be always be DOING SOMETHING.

Merlin is in training for agility, which he loves, and he lives and breathes for discdoggin’. He is not competition ready for either sport yet, but when he is, watch out. This little dog is chock-full of potential.
